Compliance
Licensing and compliance
We publish no licence number and no regulator badge on this site. Not because the information is unavailable, but because a licence detail copied into a review page and left there is one of the most persistently wrong things on the internet.
Licences are transferred, renewed, suspended and revoked. Operators restructure. Review sites do not follow any of that, so a badge that was accurate in one year sits there reassuring people three years later. We would rather teach the check than fake the reassurance.
Checking an operator in under a minute
Find the footer statement
Licensed operators name the licensing body and the licence holder in the site footer or terms. If nothing is named anywhere, that is your answer.
Go to the regulator, not the casino
Open the regulator's own website directly and use its public register. Never trust a badge image that links back to the casino.
Search the licence holder's name
The corporate entity, not the brand. Check the status reads as current and that the brand is listed under it.
Check your own market
A licence valid somewhere is not a licence valid everywhere. Some countries maintain their own list of permitted operators.
What a licence does and does not do
It does mean someone can be complained to who is not the casino, that player funds and game fairness are subject to rules, and that a dispute route exists which does not depend on the operator's goodwill. It does not guarantee fast payouts, generous terms, or that you will win. A licensed operator can still write a bonus term you dislike — and enforce it.
If something goes wrong
Complain to the operator in writing first, quoting dates and the specific term relied on; most regulators require that step before they will look at a case. If the reply does not resolve it, the operator's terms name the dispute service or regulator to escalate to. Keep every transcript, timestamp and screenshot — see getting paid out for what to record and when.
Our own evidence rules are on how we grade, and the commercial arrangement behind this site is on how our links work.
