How we grade — and how we correct mistakes
Six criteria, four possible grades, all of them words. Here is what each one means, what evidence sits behind it and what would change it.
The four grades
- Strong
- Beats the category average on this criterion. We would point a friend at it without a caveat.
- Solid
- Does the job without friction. Unremarkable in the good sense.
- Mixed
- Works, but there is a documented catch we can name. Most of this category sits here.
- Thin
- The part we would fix first. Not a scandal — a weakness that costs the user something real.
The six criteria
Game library, sign-up flow, cashier, small print, mobile and support. They are weighted equally and never combined into an overall score, because averaging six unlike things produces a number that means nothing.
What counts as evidence
The operator's own published pages and terms; the cashier and lobby as a signed-in player meets them; and the promotional terms as supplied to us by the partner brand. Where those three cannot settle a question, we write that the question is open rather than filling the gap with a plausible number.
What we refuse to publish
Licence numbers and regulator badges we have not read directly off current official pages. Payout-speed averages. Return-to-player percentages. Player ratings we did not collect. Game counts — they change weekly and tell you nothing. If a figure would help you, we point you at the authoritative source instead of copying it into a table that will go stale.
Corrections policy
Mistakes get fixed on the page, with a dated note saying what changed and why — never a silent edit. Anyone can report one through contact; tell us the page, the claim and, if you have it, the source. We aim to respond within a few working days, and a correction is published whether or not it flatters us.
Grades change when the underlying thing changes. If verification moves to sign-up, if support starts reading specific cases, if the cashier publishes a plain balance breakdown, the relevant grade moves and the change is noted. Commercial relationships do not move grades — that arrangement is described on how our links work.
