Opening an account without storing up trouble
Registration takes about a minute and asks for almost nothing. That is the trap: three of the fields you fill in without thinking are the same three fields that decide whether your first withdrawal is routine or a fortnight of correspondence.

Where accounts go wrong before they start
- Legal name
- Exactly as printed on the document you will eventually upload. Not a shortened first name, not a nickname, not a married name you have not yet changed on the passport. A mismatch here is the most common cause of a stalled payout.
- Date of birth
- Correct to the day. A typo makes your identity document fail to match, and correcting it later requires proof and a support case.
- Address
- The one that appears on a utility bill or bank statement you can actually produce. An address you no longer receive post at is functionally unverifiable.
- An inbox you control and can secure. It is the recovery route for everything else on the account.
- Country
- Where you actually live. Selecting elsewhere to reach a promotion voids balances and cannot be undone quietly.

Open the form
Email, password, country, date of birth, sometimes a phone number. No documents at this stage.
Set a real password
Unique, in a password manager. This account will hold money and a copy of your identity documents.
Confirm the email
Some functions stay locked until the address is confirmed, and an unconfirmed address is a bad recovery route.
Set limits before you deposit
Deposit and session limits apply immediately; removing them involves a cooling-off delay. Set them while you are calm — see responsible gambling.
Verify early

Four terms that bite quietly
One account per person. Duplicate accounts — including one opened in a partner's name to claim a second welcome offer — are a breach everywhere and can void balances on both. If you are locked out, recover the original rather than opening another.
Your own payment methods only. The instrument must belong to the account holder. Third-party funding is refused as a matter of law rather than house preference, and it can freeze an account outright.

Can I close the account later?

Will registering commit me to depositing?
